UNLV and Arizona Lead After Two Rounds at NB3 MatchPlay
After two rounds of play at Twin Warriors Golf Club, UNLV and Arizona sit atop the men’s and women’s leaderboards at the 2025 NB3 MatchPlay, each going unbeaten through Tuesday’s 36 holes.
Men’s Competition
UNLV leads the men’s standings with six total points, earning back-to-back victories over New Mexico and New Mexico State. The Rebels went 3–2–0 in both rounds to post the only perfect record of the day.
New Mexico and New Mexico State are tied for second at five points apiece. The Lobos opened with a 2–3 loss to UNLV before rebounding with a 3–2 win over Oregon. New Mexico State matched that total, defeating Oregon in the morning session before falling to UNLV in round two.
Oregon sits fourth with four points, remaining competitive but winless in both sessions.
The final round will feature UNLV vs. Oregon and New Mexico vs. New Mexico State, with the overall team title on the line Wednesday at Twin Warriors.
Women’s Competition
Arizona holds the top position after a dominant day, winning all ten individual matches to collect nine total points. The Wildcats swept New Mexico 5–0 in the afternoon session after a 4–1 victory over New Mexico State in round one.
Texas A&M trails closely with eight points, following a pair of 4–1 team wins over New Mexico and New Mexico State.
New Mexico State has two points through two rounds, while New Mexico sits at one point.
The women’s final round will see Arizona face Texas A&M in a matchup between unbeaten teams, while New Mexico meets New Mexico State.
Play concludes Wednesday at Twin Warriors Golf Club, where the men’s and women’s champions will be decided.
