United States Wins Espirito Santo Trophy on Tiebreaker in Singapore

The United States rallied on the final day to capture the 31st Women’s World Amateur Team Championship at Tanah Merah Country Club in Singapore, securing its 15th Espirito Santo Trophy and first since 2018.

The Americans shot a combined 5-under in the final round to finish at 18-under, tied with the Republic of Korea and Spain. The title was decided by tiebreaker, with the U.S. earning the gold medal based on the lowest non-counting score from its third player.

Megha Ganne, ranked No. 5 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking, led the charge with a bogey-free 68. Farah O’Keefe (No. 7) and Catherine Park (No. 11) added rounds of 71 to seal the victory.

Spain surged with a 6-under team total, powered by 69s from Paula Martín Sampedro and Andrea Revuelta Goicoechea. Korea, which entered as the 54-hole leader, closed with a 2-under round to also finish at 18-under. England and China tied for fourth at 16-under.

Canada placed 10th at 7-under, led by Michelle Xing, who finished T18 individually at 3-under (72-73-68-72–285). Teammates Lauren Kim (T29, -1) and Vanessa Borovilos (38th, +2) rounded out the Canadian lineup.
