Mirabel Ting, a junior at Florida State University, has cemented herself as one of the top collegiate golfers in women’s golf. She is currently ranked the No. 1 women’s golfer by Clippd and No. 3 by WAGR. Her journey to the top has been nothing short of remarkable, marked by numerous international and national tournament victories, individual titles, and multiple All-Conference and All-American honors.
Born and raised in Miri, Malaysia, Ting won her first tournament at age 10 and claimed medalist honors at the Sarawak Amateur Championship at age 11. At 16, she enrolled early at Augusta University, where she had a stellar start to her college career. She earned Second Team All-Conference honors and was named Southland Conference Player and Freshman of the Year in 2023—becoming just the third player in conference history to achieve both honors in the same season.
Before transferring to FSU, Ting competed in elite tournaments such as the Arnold Palmer Cup and the TSM Golf Challenge. That summer, she secured titles at the Vietnam Ladies Amateur Championship, Royal Selangor Ladies Amateur, and the TSM Golf Challenge.
Despite sitting out fall tournaments after transferring to FSU, Ting made an immediate impact in the spring, winning the individual title at the Women’s Orlando International Open. She dominated in her debut season with the Seminoles, earning All-American Honorable Mention honors from both the WGCA and Golfweek in 2024, along with All-ACC recognition. She competed in all seven of FSU’s spring events, was named Co-ACC Golfer of the Month (March 2024), and won her second career individual title at the 2024 Valspar Augusta Invitational. That summer, she continued her winning streak, capturing gold at the Malaysia Games.
In her junior fall season, Ting became just the fourth golfer in FSU history to win back-to-back individual championships. During the winter, she played a crucial role in leading the Asia-Pacific team to victory at the Patsy Hankins Trophy Championship. Most recently, her individual triumph helped secure FSU’s fourth consecutive team title at the Briars Creek Invitational.
Up next, Ting will compete in the 2025 Augusta National Women’s Amateur (April 2-5) at Augusta National Golf Club—her second appearance in the prestigious event. Fans eagerly await to see if she can continue her exceptional form and cap off her junior year with another milestone victory.
