Mike Keiser Receives USGA’s Bob Jones Award

Mike Keiser, the visionary behind Bandon Dunes and several other acclaimed golf resorts, has been named the 2024 recipient of the USGA’s Bob Jones Award. The honor is given annually to someone who reflects the character and values of Bobby Jones, one of the game’s most respected amateurs.

Keiser transformed public golf with his commitment to nature-first, walking-only layouts. Starting with Bandon Dunes in 1999, he prioritized courses that embrace the land, focus on strategy, and welcome players of all levels. His influence now spans the globe, including projects like Sand Valley, Cabot Cape Breton, and Barnbougle in Australia.

Beyond design, Keiser is known for supporting young architects and giving back to the game through environmental efforts, caddie scholarships, and community programs.

The USGA will formally recognize Keiser during the 2025 U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club.
