Mercer Dominates Mercer Invitational; Scheck Leads With Individual Win
Mercer claimed the Mercer Invitational at River Forest GC in Forsyth, Georgia with a +19 total, closing with a steady +1 final round to secure the team title. Florida Atlantic finished second at +44, followed by West Georgia at +49.
The Bears controlled the individual leaderboard as well, placing four players inside the top five. Katie Scheck earned medalist honors at +3 with rounds of 69, 73, and 75. Teammates Riley Kim and Tylar Whiting tied for second at +4. Samford’s Gabi Nicastro finished fourth at +5. Florida Atlantic’s Nancy Cox and Mercer’s Mahima Vurupatur tied for fifth at +8.
