McCloskey and Taylor Elected to WGCA Coaches Hall of Fame

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association announced its 2025 Hall of Fame class, naming George Fox head coach MaryJo McCloskey and Arkansas head coach Shauna Taylor as inductees. Both will be honored December 8 at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.

McCloskey enters her 20th season leading George Fox and has established the Bruins as a national Division III contender. Her program has posted 14 straight top-10 NCAA finishes, including nine podiums, and won its first national championship in 2023. She is an eight time Division III West Region Coach of the Year and has coached two individual NCAA champions, four PING WGCA Players of the Year, three WGCA Freshman of the Year, 33 WGCA All-Americans, and 28 WGCA All-American Scholars. McCloskey also served two terms on the WGCA Board of Directors as the Division III Director.

Taylor has led Arkansas for 18 seasons and guided the Razorbacks to 17 consecutive NCAA Regional appearances and nine NCAA Championship berths, highlighted by three fifth place national finishes. She is a two time SEC Coach of the Year and has coached three individual NCAA champions, including 2025 champion Maria Jose Marin, one PING WGCA Player of the Year, 19 WGCA All-Americans, and 46 WGCA All-American Scholars.

McCloskey and Taylor become the 58th and 59th members of the WGCA Coaches Hall of Fame. The WGCA, founded in 1983, represents women’s collegiate golf coaches across all divisions.
