Luke Clanton Wins 2025 Ben Hogan Award, Capping Stellar Season for Florida State

Florida State junior Luke Clanton has been named the 2025 Ben Hogan Award winner, cementing his place as the top collegiate golfer in the nation. The award, presented annually at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas, honors the best men’s college golfer across all divisions, factoring in both collegiate and amateur events.

Clanton, from Hialeah, Florida, is the second Seminole to win the award, joining John Pak (2021). He captured four individual titles this season, including victories at the NCAA Tallahassee Regional, Lewis Chitengwa Memorial, Seminole Intercollegiate, and Watersound Invitational.

Beyond the college circuit, Clanton made a national splash with three top-five finishes on the PGA Tour: solo second at the John Deere Classic and RSM Classic, and T5 at the Wyndham Championship. In February, he secured his PGA TOUR card via the PGA TOUR University Accelerated program after earning the required 20 points by making the cut at the Cognizant Classic.

Despite qualifying for the pro ranks, Clanton chose to finish the season with Florida State and now heads to the NCAA Championship in Carlsbad, California, looking to lead the Seminoles to a national title.
