Jackson Koivun Shines with 64 at John Deere Classic
Jackson Koivun is playing like he belongs.
The incoming Auburn junior fired a second-round 64 on Friday at the John Deere Classic, highlighted by a birdie at the par-4 fourteenth, to reach 10 under and put himself in weekend contention.
In 2024, Koivun helped Auburn win the SEC Championship and the program's first NCAA team title, finished runner up at the NCAA individual championship, and became the first player to sweep the Haskins Award, Jack Nicklaus Award, Ben Hogan Award, and Mickelson Freshman of the Year Award.
In 2025, he repeated as SEC champion, won titles at the Inverness Intercollegiate and NCAA Auburn Regional, set Auburn's single season scoring record, earned a PGA Tour card through PGA Tour U Accelerated, and made his United States Open debut.
Now ranked No. 1 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking, Koivun is proving himself on the PGA Tour stage.
