Haskins Award Watch List Unveils 25 Standouts for 2025–26 Season

The 2025–26 men’s college golf season is officially underway, and the race for the Fred Haskins Award is set to be one of the year’s defining storylines. The award, presented annually by Stifel, recognizes the nation’s top male collegiate golfer as voted on by players, coaches, and members of the media.

North Carolina’s David Ford captured last year’s Haskins Award after a five-win season that also secured him the top spot in PGA Tour University and a PGA Tour card. With Ford now graduated, a new winner will emerge in May, although Auburn’s Jackson Koivun, the current world No. 1 amateur, could secure his second Haskins.

The 2026 preseason watch list includes 25 of the country’s top players, selected by a panel of Golfweek and Golf Channel reporters.
