Florida Men’s and Oregon Women’s Capture Titles at the East Lake Cup

Florida and Oregon capped the fall season with victories at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, earning the 2025 East Lake Cup titles with strong match play performances.


Men’s Championship – Florida 3, Virginia 2

Florida edged top-ranked Virginia 3–2 to claim its first East Lake Cup title. Senior Parker Bell delivered the clinching point with a birdie on the 18th to defeat Ben James, the No. 1 player in PGA TOUR U.

Luke Poulter earned Florida’s opening point with a 4 & 3 win over Michael Lee, and Zack Swanwick followed with a 2 & 1 victory against Paul Chang. Virginia countered with wins from Josh Duangmanee and Bryan Lee, but Bell’s finish sealed the championship for head coach J. C. Deacon.

Women’s Championship – Oregon 4, Northwestern 1

Oregon, led by head coach Derek Radley, secured a 4–1 victory over Northwestern to capture the women’s title. Sophie Han, Tong An, Suvichaya Vinijchaitham, and Kiara Romero each earned points for the Ducks. Northwestern’s Dianna Lee provided the Wildcats’ lone win.
