CGN Player Highlight: Pinky Chaisilprungruang Standout at Charlotte

Pimchompoo “Pinky” Chaisilprungruang, a sophomore at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte from Phitsanulok, Thailand, has quickly established herself as one of the rising stars in Division I golf. She finished her freshman season ranked No. 46 nationally in Division I.



Career at  Charlotte

Since arriving in Charlotte, Pinky has elevated her game to new heights. Career highlights include:

  • 2025 American Athletic Conference Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year:  the first Charlotte golfer to win both in the same season (second in conference history)

  • Qualified for the U.S. Women’s Amateur at Bandon Dunes, Oregon

  • Recorded a top 10 finish in every event of her freshman season, including six top-five results

  • Set the program scoring record of 203 (13 under par) at the Daniel Island Invitational, and tied Charlotte’s single-round scoring record with a 66

  • Holds Charlotte’s best single-season stroke average (71.07)

  • Shot even or under par in 20 of 29 rounds during the 2024–25 season

  • Earned three AAC Golfer of the Week awards and was named AAC Golfer of the Month

  • Most recently captured individual medalist honors at the Tiger Classic



Signature Victories

Pinky also built on her success with a strong summer, highlighted by:

  • Winner of the Southwestern Amateur

  • Stroke Play Medalist at the North and South Amateur

  • Co-Medalist in stroke play at the Women’s Western Amateur with Texas’ Farah O’Keefe

  • Advanced to the Round of 32 at the 2025 U.S. Women’s Amateur at Bandon Dunes
