CGN Feature: Women's Regional Recap

The 2025 NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Regionals concluded with standout performances across all six sites, determining the 30 teams and six individuals advancing to the NCAA Championship at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California, from May 16–21.

Charlottesville Regional (Birdwood Golf Course, Charlottesville, VA)

  • Team Champion: South Carolina (-2)

  • Advancing Teams: South Carolina, Ole Miss, Virginia, Florida, UCLA

  • Individual Medalist: Marie Madsen (NC State)

South Carolina dominated the regional, winning by 11 strokes, led by top-five finishes from Hannah Darling, Louise Rydqvist, and Eila Galitsky. Marie Madsen of NC State secured individual honors and a spot at nationals. 


Columbus Regional (Ohio State University Golf Club, Columbus, OH)

  • Team Champion: Kansas (-6)

  • Advancing Teams: Kansas, Arkansas, Ohio State, UNLV, LSU

  • Individual Medalist: Lyla Louderbaugh (Kansas, -12)

  • Advancing Individual: Moa Svedenskiold (Houston)

Kansas clinched its first-ever regional title, propelled by Lyla Louderbaugh's commanding 12-under performance, winning by eight strokes. This marks the Jayhawks' first NCAA Championship appearance since 2014.


Gold Canyon Regional (Superstition Mountain Golf & Country Club, Gold Canyon, AZ)

  • Team Champion: Texas A&M

  • Advancing Teams: Texas A&M, SMU, LSU, Texas, Ohio State

  • Individual Medalist: Phoebe Brinker (Duke)

Texas A&M secured the regional title, showcasing depth and consistency. Phoebe Brinker of Duke earned individual honors, advancing to nationals as an individual qualifier.


Lexington Regional (University Club of Kentucky, Lexington, KY)

  • Team Champion: Florida State (-15)

  • Advancing Teams: Florida State, Georgia Southern, Kansas State, USC, Vanderbilt

  • Individual Medalist: Carla Bernat (Kansas State, -12)

  • Advancing Individual: Sofia Barroso Sa (TCU)

Florida State led wire-to-wire, capturing its third regional title. Carla Bernat of Kansas State fired a final-round 66 to claim individual honors. FSU's Lottie Woad and Mirabel Ting tied for second, each shooting 10-under 206, tying school records. 


Lubbock Regional (The Rawls Course, Lubbock, TX)

  • Team Champion: Wake Forest (-2)

  • Advancing Teams: Wake Forest, Texas, Iowa State, Tennessee, Purdue

  • Individual Medalist: Carolina Chacarra (Wake Forest, -7)

  • Advancing Individual: Lousiane Gauthier (Florida Gulf Coast)

Wake Forest secured the team title, with Carolina Chacarra leading individually. Purdue clinched the final qualifying spot in a playoff against Texas A&M, highlighted by Natasha Kiel's clutch eagle putt. 


Norman Regional (Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club, Norman, OK)

  • Team Champion: Stanford (-22)

  • Advancing Teams: Stanford, Northwestern, Michigan State, Oklahoma, Baylor

  • Individual Medalist: Andrea Revuelta (Stanford, -8)

  • Advancing Individual: Audrey Ryu (Furman)

Stanford dominated the field, finishing at 22-under, with Andrea Revuelta leading individually. Oklahoma rallied in the final rounds to secure a top-five finish and a spot at nationals.
