Big Wins and Breakout Performances Highlight This Week in DI Golf

Welcome to this week’s edition of the 2025–26 collegiate golf tournament winners recap for Division I. Here’s a look at the champions and standout performances from across the country.



Golden Grizzlies Intercollegiate

Division: Division I Men’s Golf
Winner: Butler

Butler captured the team title at the Golden Grizzlies Intercollegiate with a +5 at the Oakland University Golf and Learning Center in Rochester, Michigan. Mason Haupt of Green Bay and Mike Qiu of Notre Dame shared individual medalist honors. Butler’s Leo Zurovac and Will Horne both finished inside the top 10.


Badger Invitational (Women’s)

Division: Division I Women’s Golf
Winner: Illinois

Illinois won the Badger Invitational at the University of Wisconsin with a -9 team total. Alexis Myers of Illinois claimed individual medalist honors, while teammates Victoria Zheng and Erica Lee both finished inside the top 10.



Canadian Collegiate Invitational (Men’s)

Division: Division I Men’s Golf
Winner: Notre Dame

Notre Dame dominated the Canadian Collegiate Invitational at Oviinbyrd Golf Club in Foot’s Bay, Ontario, finishing at -35. Calen Sanderson of Notre Dame earned medalist honors at -19, winning by one stroke.


Elon Invitational

Division: Division I Women’s Golf
Winner: Cincinnati

Cincinnati hosted and won the Elon Invitational at Coldstream Country Club with a -18 team total. Harris Barth of Furman captured the individual title at -9. Cincinnati’s Connor McNeely and Ryan Ford both placed in the top 10.



Cougar Classic

Division: Division I Women’s Golf
Co-Winners: James Madison & Elon

James Madison and Elon shared the team title at +4 at Alamance Country Club in Burlington, North Carolina. McKenzie Weddle of Radford won the individual championship. James Madison’s Bella Flores placed third, while teammate Grace Penzold finished inside the top 10. Elon placed three players in the top 10: Emma Hansen, Ashley Lafontaine, and Lilli Downer.



The Invitational at The Honors Course

Division: Division I Men’s Golf
Winner: Ole Miss

Ole Miss claimed the team championship at the Honors Course in Ooltewah, Tennessee, finishing at -10. Cameron Tankersley of Ole Miss and Josiah Gilbert of Auburn shared medalist honors at -6.



Inverness Intercollegiate

Division: Division I Women’s Golf
Winner: Ohio State

Ohio State earned the team title at the Inverness Intercollegiate with a +34 at Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio. Anna Behnsen of South Alabama won the individual championship at -4. Ohio State’s Matilde Santilli and Sophie Eppelstun both finished inside the top 10.
