CGN+ College Golf Weekly: Division I Champions Deliver in Week 2

Week 2 of the 2026- 2027 college golf season featured another group of champions across Division I. Longwood, Florida, Virginia Tech, and Santa Clara were among the programs earning team titles, while several individual players finished the week atop their respective leaderboards.

Here is a look at the team and individual champions from Week 2.

Tribe Invitational

Division: Division I Women’s Golf
Winner: Longwood

Longwood won the Tribe Invitational at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia, finishing at 21 over to earn an eight-stroke victory over host William & Mary.

The Lancers posted rounds of 5 over, 1 over and 15 over. William & Mary finished second at 29 over, while Georgetown placed third at 36 over.

Longwood’s Madison Lehr earned individual medalist honors at 2 under. Lehr posted rounds of 1 under, 1 under and even par to finish four strokes ahead of Georgetown’s Sunny Wang.

Cougar Classic

Division: Division I Women’s Golf
Winner: Florida

Florida won the Cougar Classic at 16 under at the Yeamans Hall Club in Charleston, SC, completing a sweep of the team and individual titles.

The Gators posted rounds of 1 under, 8 under and 7 under to finish 10 strokes ahead of Tennessee, which placed second at 6 under. Baylor finished third at 5 under, while Arkansas placed fourth at 1 under.

Florida’s Jessica Guiser earned individual medalist honors at 6 under. Guiser posted rounds of 1 under, 4 under and 1 under to finish one stroke ahead of Baylor’s Bridget Boczar, Tennessee’s Sophie Christopher, Arkansas’ Sara Brentcheneff and Florida teammate Katelyn Huber. All four finished tied for second at 5 under.

Nittany Lion Invitational

Winner: Virginia Tech

Virginia Tech won the Nittany Lion Invitational at Penn State Golf Courses in State College, Pennsylvania, finishing at 20 under.

The Hokies posted rounds of 2 under, 10 under and 8 under to finish five strokes ahead of Maryland. Harvard and host Penn State tied for third at 11 under.

Virginia Tech’s Valentine Delon earned individual medalist honors at 13 under. Delon posted rounds of 3 under, 6 under and 4 under to complete a sweep of the team and individual titles for the Hokies.

Bombs Darts Birds Collegiate

Division: Division I Men’s Golf
Winner: Santa Clara

Santa Clara won the Bombs Darts Birds Collegiate at Whirlwind Golf Club in Chandler, Arizona, finishing at 50 under.

The Broncos opened with a 23 under round before adding rounds of 12 under and 15 under. Santa Clara finished three strokes ahead of New Mexico State, while Arkansas State placed third at 43 under.

Arkansas State’s Jake Lile earned individual medalist honors at 17 under. Lile posted rounds of 5 under, 6 under and 6 under to finish one stroke ahead of Eastern Michigan individual Parin Sarasmut.
