Florida State captured the Folds of Honor Collegiate women’s team championship Wednesday at American Dunes Golf Club in Grand Haven, Michigan, while Seminole Haruhi Nakatani and Duke’s Mia Hammond shared individual medalist honors.
Florida State entered the final round at 2 over before shooting 5 under to finish at 3 under for the tournament. The Seminoles edged Texas A&M by one stroke, while Duke finished third at 1 under.
Nakatani gave Florida State a share of the individual title with a 6 under total. She opened with an even par round, followed with a 2 under second round and closed with a 4 under performance.
Duke’s Hammond also finished at 6 under, posting rounds of 2 under, 1 under and 3 under to share medalist honors with Nakatani.
Ohio State’s Sophie Eppelstun and Duke’s Katie Li tied for third at 4 under. Arizona’s Olivia Hung finished fifth at 3 under.
