Robert Morris University will restore its NCAA Division I women’s golf program for the 2026 – 2027 academic year, bringing the team back for the first time since it last competed in the spring of 2014.
The Colonials will return to competition as members of the Horizon League, adding another women’s golf program to the conference while expanding opportunities for future student-athletes at the Division I level.
The program will be led by Robert Morris Director of Golf Steve Shingledecker, who will oversee the women’s team and begin building the roster ahead of its return to competition during the upcoming academic year.
The reinstatement marks the return of women’s golf after a 12-year absence and continues the university’s efforts to expand its Division I athletics offerings.
