Independence Golf Club in Midlothian, Virginia will serve as the host venue for the fourth Women’s Open of Virginia from June 22 to 24.
Conducted by the Virginia State Golf Association in partnership with the Middle Atlantic PGA, the 54 hole championship will bring together professionals and leading amateurs from across the region. CGN will provide live final round coverage on June 24. Virginia State Golf Association
Originally designed by Tom Fazio, Independence Golf Club features rolling terrain, expansive bentgrass greens, and strategically placed hazards that demand precision throughout the round.
The championship course is a par 72 layout featuring four par 5s, ten par 4s, and four par 3s. The front nine includes scoring opportunities at Nos. 4 and 8, while the back nine features additional par 5s at Nos. 13 and 17. Players will finish on a demanding closing stretch that includes three par 4s over the final four holes.

Front Nine
The opening side features two par 5s at Holes 4 and 8, providing early scoring opportunities. Par 3s at Holes 7 and 9 add variety before players make the turn.
Back Nine
The inward nine includes par 5s at Holes 13 and 17, along with par 3s at Holes 11 and 14. The back side offers several birdie chances while also demanding precision on approach shots into Independence Golf Club’s bentgrass greens.
Closing Stretch
The championship could be decided over the final four holes. Players face par 4s at Holes 15, 16, and 18, with the par 5 17th serving as the final scoring opportunity before the closing hole.
Players will navigate a challenging finish with par 4s at Holes 15, 16, and 18 surrounding the par 5 17th, creating late scoring opportunities and potential swings on the leaderboard.
