Miami (OH) secured the Mid American Men’s Golf Championship at Holliday Farms, finishing at 28 over to claim the team title.
Miami (OH) posted rounds of 12 over, 5 over, and 11 over to hold off Northern Illinois, which finished second at 35 over. Eastern Michigan placed third at 46 over. Kent State finished fourth at 56 over, followed by Ball State and Bowling Green tied for fifth at 58 over.
Central Michigan placed seventh at 67 over. Ohio finished eighth at 74 over, while Toledo placed ninth at 86 over.
In the individual standings, Miami (OH)’s Liam Nelson earned medalist honors at 4 over with rounds of 1 under, 5 over, and even par. Eastern Michigan’s Rory Obrien finished second at 5 over.
Bowling Green’s Angelo Luciani and Kent State’s Liam Curtis tied for third at 6 over. Toledo’s Bence Kotel, Northern Illinois’ Patrick Raupp, and Ohio’s Nathaniel Gray Lamont tied for fifth at 8 over.
Northern Illinois’ Devin Swoyer and Kent State’s Nolan Haynes tied for eighth at 9 over. Ball State’s Happy Gilmore finished tenth at 10 over.
