Xavier Wins Big East Men’s Golf Championship, Cayse Morgan Earns Medalist Honors

Xavier captured the Big East Men’s Golf Championship at Riverton Pointe Golf and Country Club, finishing at 21 under to secure the team title.

Xavier posted rounds of 5 under, 3 under, and 13 under to pull away in the final round. Marquette finished second at 17 under, followed by Creighton in third at 12 under. Connecticut placed fourth at 8 under, while DePaul rounded out the top five at 2 under.

St John’s and Georgetown tied for sixth at 1 under. Villanova finished eighth at 1 over, followed by Butler at 4 over, Seton Hall at 16 over, and Providence at 31 over.

In the individual standings, Xavier’s Cayse Morgan claimed medalist honors at 14 under with rounds of 4 under, 2 under, and 8 under. Villanova’s Ryan Pamer placed second at 10 under. Marquette’s Mischa Candinas finished third at 7 under.

Creighton’s Grant Feldman and Owen Price tied for fourth at 6 under. Connecticut’s Bradley Sawka, St John’s Eli Weidmann, and Xavier’s Kyle Smith tied for sixth at 5 under.

Providence’s Campbell Skelly and DePaul’s Rohan Gopaldas tied for ninth at 4 under.
