Texas’ Farah O’Keefe Earns Division I PING WGCA Player of the Year Honors

Texas standout Farah O’Keefe has been named the 2025–26 Division I PING WGCA Player of the Year, the Women’s Golf Coaches Association announced Wednesday. The award is recognized as the organization’s top individual honor in Division I women’s golf.

O’Keefe added the recognition to an already decorated season that included victories at the Therese Hession Regional Challenge, Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, Betsy Rawls Invitational, and the NCAA Division I Women’s National Championship stroke play competition.

The Austin native posted a 68.2 adjusted scoring average during the season and recorded top 10 finishes in every event she entered. O’Keefe was also named the 2026 SEC Player of the Year and recently captured the 2026 Annika Award.

O’Keefe helped Texas reach NCAA Championship match play after claiming the individual national title earlier this week at Omni La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, California. She became the third player in program history to win the NCAA individual championship.

In addition to her collegiate honors, O’Keefe will represent Team USA at the 2026 Arnold Palmer Cup in West Barrow, Ireland. The appearance marks her third selection to the American squad.
