Charleston Southern Tabs Andy Serketich to Lead Men’s and Women’s Golf Programs

Charleston Southern Athletics announced the hiring of Andy Serketich as head coach of the men’s and women’s golf programs on Tuesday following a successful two year run at the University of Indianapolis.

Serketich guided Indianapolis to four team tournament victories and five individual medalist titles during his tenure. The Greyhounds women’s program finished ranked inside the national top 20 this season after winning the GLVC Championship and advancing to the NCAA Division II National Championship. He was also named the GLVC Women’s Golf Coach of the Year during the 2024 to 2025 campaign.

Indianapolis’ men’s team earned runner up honors at the GLVC Championship in 2024 to 2025, while the women’s team also posted a runner up conference finish during the 2025 to 2026 season.

Before taking over at Indianapolis, Serketich spent one season at Notre Dame as assistant coach and director of operations for both golf programs. His responsibilities included recruiting coordination, tournament operations, practice planning, and academic oversight.

Serketich previously served as head men’s golf coach at Queens University Charlotte from 2017 through 2023. During that stretch, the Royals captured conference championships in 2019 and 2022 while producing two All Americans and seven All Conference selections. The program also set multiple scoring records under his leadership.

As a student athlete at Queens, Serketich was a four year member of the men’s golf program and served as team captain during his junior and senior seasons. He later returned to the school as an assistant coach before being promoted to associate head men’s golf coach. During that period, Queens earned its first national championship appearance in 2010 and captured Conference Carolinas titles in 2011 and 2013.

Serketich earned his bachelor’s degree in business marketing with a Professional Golf Management certification and a minor in pre law from Queens in 2007 before completing his MBA in 2012.
