Koivun Earns Second Ben Hogan Award, Joins Rahm and Åberg in History

Auburn junior Jackson Koivun added another major honor to his collegiate career after being named the 2026 Ben Hogan Award winner, becoming just the third player to win the award multiple times.

Koivun previously captured the award in 2024 as a freshman and now joins Jon Rahm and Ludvig Åberg as the only repeat winners in Ben Hogan Award history.

The Chapel Hill, North Carolina native recorded six victories during the spring season and entered the NCAA Championship as one of the top players in college golf. His season included wins at the Amer Ari Invitational, Gator Invitational, The Hayt, Mason Rudolph Championship, Ford Collegiate, and SEC Championship.

Koivun also became the first player since 1967 to win three consecutive SEC individual titles while breaking Auburn’s career wins record and tying the SEC career wins mark.

Across 36 rounds this season, Koivun posted a 67.97 scoring average with 29 rounds at par or better and 179 birdies. He finished inside the top 10 in 12 of 13 starts.

Outside collegiate competition, Koivun represented Team USA at both the Walker Cup and Palmer Cup. He also competed in multiple PGA Tour events last summer, making six cuts in seven starts with finishes that included T11, T6, T5, and T4 against professional fields.

The Ben Hogan Award recognizes the top player in college golf based on collegiate, amateur, and professional competition over the previous 12 months.
