Round one of the Atlantic Sun Conference Women’s Golf Championship is complete at Dothan Country Club in Dothan, Alabama, with North Florida setting the early pace in both the team and individual standings.
North Florida leads the field at 10 under after the opening round, building an 11 shot advantage over Florida Gulf Coast, which sits in second at 1 over. Lipscomb is third at 4 over, followed by Stetson at 8 over and Eastern Kentucky at 10 over.
Bellarmine is sixth at 11 over, while Central Arkansas and Austin Peay State are tied for seventh at 12 over. West Georgia is ninth at 13 over, and North Alabama rounds out the top 10 at 17 over.
In the individual standings, North Florida’s Brianna Castaldi leads at 5 under after the opening round. Teammate Ava Cottis is second at 3 under, while Kaitlyn Schroeder gives North Florida three players inside the top three at 2 under.
Lipscomb’s Christina Surcey is fourth at 1 under. A group of six players are tied for fifth at even par, including North Florida’s Braydn Smith, Florida Gulf Coast’s Lousiane Gauthier, Amelie Alcantara, and Sydney Deal, Eastern Kentucky’s Imogen Jessen, and Austin Peay State’s Jordin Cowing.
