Stroke play has concluded at the ACC Women’s Golf Championship at Porters Neck Country Club in Wilmington, North Carolina, with Stanford claiming the top seed and Paula Martín Sampedro earning medalist honors heading into match play.
Stanford finished at 33 under following rounds of 13 under, 10 under, and 10 under to lead the field. SMU secured the No. 2 seed at 22 under. Both Stanford and SMU earned byes into the quarterfinals.
The top six teams advanced to match play. Wake Forest placed third at 14 under, followed by Duke at 13 under and NC State at 12 under. North Carolina secured the final match play spot in sixth at 8 under.
Clemson finished seventh at 7 under, with Virginia Tech eighth at 5 under.
In the individual standings, Stanford’s Paula Martín Sampedro captured medalist honors at 14 under with rounds of 8 under, 3 under, and 3 under. Duke’s Rianne Malixi finished second at 11 under, while Wake Forest’s Chloe Kovelesky placed third at 9 under.
SMU’s Mackenzie Lee finished fourth at 8 under, followed by Stanford’s Kelly Xu in fifth at 7 under. NC State’s Marie Madsen and Florida State’s Haruhi Nakatani tied for sixth at 6 under. SMU’s Emily Odwin, California’s Jasmine Kahler, and North Carolina’s Megan Streicher tied for eighth at 5 under.
