The Golf Coaches Association of America has named Nick Neumayer and Daniel Polce as the 2026 Ron Balicki Scholarship recipients, with each receiving a $5,000 award.

Neumayer, a graduate student at Northwestern University, is completing a Master of Science in Journalism with a focus on sports media. He serves as a Communications Assistant for Northwestern Athletics, where he manages coverage, statistics, and content for both golf programs.

Polce, a senior at Florida Gulf Coast University, is earning a degree in PGA Golf Management with a minor in journalism and plans to pursue graduate study at Ulster University.

Polce has contributed to multiple golf media outlets, including Global Golf Post and MyGolfSpy, while also founding a digital publication covering his university’s golf program.

The Ron Balicki Scholarship recognizes students pursuing careers in golf media and honors the legacy of Ron Balicki, a longtime journalist who played a key role in expanding coverage of college golf.
