Starting in the game

Maneth was introduced to golf at a young age by his father at Hope Country Club. He initially played multiple sports before committing to golf and focusing on long term improvement.

Early goals and development

His early focus was on reaching the Division I level rather than chasing rankings or specific scoring benchmarks. That approach allowed his game to develop gradually before breaking through later in high school and college.

Choosing Middle Tennessee State

Maneth was drawn to the program’s resources, schedule, and competitive opportunities. Access to strong fields, facilities, and a structured environment played a key role in his decision to commit.

Time management and academics

As an accounting major, he emphasized the importance of organization and discipline. Balancing academics and golf requires planning ahead during lighter stretches and maintaining focus during competition weeks.

Leadership within the program

As a senior, Maneth focuses on setting the standard through preparation and effort. He uses his experience to guide younger teammates and provide perspective on navigating college golf.

Breakout performance mindset

During his win at Sandestin, Maneth focused on staying present and trusting his preparation rather than thinking about results. He emphasized committing to each shot and managing nerves throughout the round.

Handling adversity

He noted that poor execution presents a greater challenge than bad breaks. His focus moving forward is maintaining perspective and improving consistency when expectations are not met.

Future plans

Maneth plans to pursue professional golf following graduation and intends to compete at Q School, with timing dependent on available opportunities.
