Emory moves into the No. 1 position in the October 16 Bushnell/Golfweek Division III Men’s Golf Coaches Poll, climbing two spots from its previous No. 3 ranking.
The Eagles received 10 first place votes and 345 points after recording top three finishes in their first four tournaments of the 2026 fall season, including a four stroke victory at the Tartan Invitational on October 13.
Kenyon remained No. 2 with 324 points and two first place votes, while previously top ranked Huntingdon dropped to No. 3 with 310 points and two first place votes.
Changes in the Top 10
Carnegie Mellon climbed from No. 6 to No. 4, while Claremont Mudd Scripps slipped one position to No. 5.
Illinois Wesleyan moved down to No. 6, followed by Methodist at No. 7.
John Carroll recorded the largest jump in the top 10, advancing from a tie for No. 21 to No. 8.
Sewanee dropped two positions to No. 9, while Oglethorpe remained No. 10.

Five Teams Enter the Rankings
Five programs appeared in the top 25 for the first time during the 2026 fall season.
UW Eau Claire entered at No. 14, followed by Bethel (MN) at No. 16, Dubuque at No. 19, Hampden Sydney at No. 20 and UW Stout tied for No. 23.
Whitman also moved into the rankings, sharing the No. 11 position with Washington and Lee after receiving votes in the previous poll.
Southwestern (TX), LeTourneau, Piedmont, Rochester, Willamette and Guilford dropped out of the top 25.
An additional 19 programs received votes, with Rochester and Southwestern (TX) leading that group at 29 points each.
The next Bushnell/Golfweek Division III Coaches Poll is scheduled for Friday, November 6, marking the final rankings of the fall season.
