Alabama captured the team championship at the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational Presented by Charles Schwab on Tuesday at Colonial Country Club, while Texas Tech’s Adam Bresnu earned the individual title.
Alabama entered the final round tied for second at 4 under before closing with a 4 over round. The Crimson Tide finished the tournament at even par, five strokes ahead of Auburn.
Auburn, which held the lead after the first two rounds, finished second at 5 over after an 11 over final round.
Texas Tech and North Carolina tied for third at 12 over. Texas and Vanderbilt rounded out the top five in a tie for fifth at 14 over.
Alabama Captures Team Championship
Alabama opened the tournament with a 6 under first round before shooting 2 over in the second round. The Crimson Tide entered Tuesday two strokes behind Auburn.
A 4 over final round was enough for Alabama to move into first and secure the five stroke victory.
Nicholas Gross and William Jennings led Alabama individually, with both finishing tied for third at 2 under.

Bresnu Wins Individual Championship
Texas Tech’s Adam Bresnu entered the final round as one of four players tied for the individual lead at 4 under.
Bresnu separated himself from the field Tuesday with a 3 under final round to finish the tournament at 7 under.
He posted rounds of 1 under, 3 under and 3 under to secure the individual championship by one stroke over Georgia’s JD Culbreth.
Culbreth also closed with a 3 under round to finish second at 6 under.
Three players tied for third at 2 under. Oklahoma State’s Preston Stout shot even par in the final round, while Alabama teammates Nicholas Gross and William Jennings finished at the same total.
Texas’ Matthew Comegys and Auburn’s Billy Davis tied for sixth at 1 under.
