Auburn captured the 2026 Inverness Intercollegiate on Tuesday at Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio, finishing at 11 over across three rounds.
The Tigers entered the final round one stroke behind Iowa but closed with a 6 over team round to finish at 11 over. Toledo and East Tennessee State tied for second at 12 over, one stroke behind Auburn.
Individually, Toledo’s Bence Bertenyi finished at 3 under to earn medalist honors by one stroke over Clemson’s Oscar Holm Bredkjaer and Texas Tech’s Ben Gregg.
Auburn Captures Team Title
Auburn posted rounds of 10 over, 5 under and 6 over to finish the tournament at 11 over.
Toledo made one of the biggest moves of the final round, shooting 7 under to climb into a tie for second at 12 over. East Tennessee State joined the Rockets at 12 over after a 2 over final round.
Texas Tech finished fourth at 14 over, while Ohio State rounded out the Top Five at 18 over.
Iowa, which held the lead after two rounds at 4 over, shot 16 over in the final round and finished tied for sixth at 20 over.

Bertenyi Wins Individual Title
Bertenyi delivered a strong final round to move to the top of the individual leaderboard.
After opening with a 1 under round and shooting even par in Round 2, the Toledo golfer closed with a 2 under final round to finish at 3 under for the tournament.
Holm Bredkjaer made a major final round move for Clemson, shooting 5 under to reach 2 under overall. Gregg, who held the individual lead after Round 2, finished with a 1 over final round and joined Holm Bredkjaer at 2 under.
Oklahoma’s Ryder Cowan finished fourth at even par, while East Tennessee State’s Erik Tjarnberg placed fifth at 1 over.
