Iowa remained atop the team leaderboard after the second round of the Inverness Intercollegiate on Monday at Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio, while Texas Tech’s Ben Gregg moved into first individually.
The Hawkeyes followed their opening round 1 under performance with a 5 over second round to reach 4 over through 36 holes. Auburn climbed into second at 5 over after shooting 5 under Monday.
Texas Tech also made a significant move in the second round, shooting 5 under to reach 6 over overall. The Red Raiders enter the final round in third place, only two strokes behind Iowa.
East Tennessee State is fourth at 10 over, followed by Oklahoma at 11 over. Loyola Marymount and Ohio State share sixth at 15 over, Vanderbilt is eighth at 16 over, Tennessee is ninth at 18 over and host Toledo rounds out the top 10 at 19 over.

Texas Tech’s Ben Gregg Moves Into First
Gregg led Texas Tech’s second round charge with a 5 under performance, moving from 2 over after the opening round to 3 under overall and first place individually.
Oklahoma’s Ryder Cowan is one stroke behind Gregg at 2 under after shooting 4 under Monday.
First round leader Andrew Johannsen of Iowa is tied for third at 1 under after a 2 over second round. Toledo’s Bence Bertenyi joins him at 1 under after an even par round.
Iowa’s Bennett Warren and Purdue’s Sam Easterbrook are tied for fifth at even par, while Carlos Astiazaran, Will Hartman, Cayden Pope and Alex Holder share seventh at 1 over.
