Georgia Tech and Max Emberson moved to the top of the team and individual standings following the opening round of the 2026 Folds of Honor Collegiate.
The 54 hole tournament is being played September 7 through 9 at American Dunes Golf Club in Grand Haven, Michigan.
Georgia Tech finished the first round at 12 under, while Emberson opened with an 8 under round to take a two shot individual lead.
Georgia Tech Opens Seven Shot Lead
Georgia Tech set the team pace at 12 under through 18 holes. Michigan State sits second at 5 under, seven shots behind the Yellow Jackets. Notre Dame follows in third at 4 under.
Kansas finished the opening round at 1 under, while Alabama is fifth at even par. Northwestern and Texas share sixth at 1 over.
Cincinnati, Ohio State and Grand Valley State complete the top 10.

Emberson Sets Individual Pace
Emberson gave Georgia Tech the individual lead as well, finishing Round One at 8 under.
Ohio State’s Vaughn Harber sits alone in second at 6 under, two shots behind Emberson. Florida State individual Shawn Coultoff is third at 4 under.
Four players share fourth at 3 under: Texas’ Eduardo Derbez, Notre Dame’s Jacob Modleski, Michigan State’s Julian Menser and Kansas’ William Baker.
Grand Valley State’s Nicolas Vincent, Michigan State’s McCoy Biagioli and Georgia Tech’s Albert Hansson are tied for eighth at 2 under.
