Houston Selects Rachel Pollock to Lead Women’s Golf Program

The University of Houston has named Rachel Pollock as its new women’s golf head coach, pending Board of Regents approval.

Pollock arrives after five seasons at ULM, where she led the Warhawks to three NCAA Regional appearances, two individual regional qualifiers, and the program’s first NCAA Championship individual qualifier. ULM also captured Sun Belt Conference titles in 2023 and 2026 during her tenure.

In 2025-26, Pollock guided the Warhawks to five tournament victories, a Sun Belt Championship, and an appearance at the NCAA Tallahassee Regional. Johanna Sjursen advanced to the NCAA Championship after finishing third individually at the regional. Pollock was named Sun Belt Conference Coach of the Year and Louisiana Sports Writers Association Coach of the Year.

During her time at ULM, Pollock coached 10 All Sun Belt selections, three First Team honorees, and six players who combined for nine individual tournament victories. Seventeen student athletes also earned WGCA All American Scholar recognition.

Before ULM, Pollock spent four seasons on the coaching staff at Arkansas State, helping the Red Wolves earn five tournament titles and 18 top five finishes.

A native of Guelph, Ontario, Canada, Pollock played collegiately at East Tennessee State from 2013 to 2017 before beginning her coaching career.
