Former Bowling Green Assistant Darin Hudak Takes Over Oakland Men’s Golf Program

Oakland has selected Darin Hudak as the new head coach of its men’s golf program, the school announced Monday.

Hudak arrives after spending the 2025 and 2026 season as an assistant coach at Bowling Green. During his time with the Falcons, he helped the program earn a runner up finish at the Sweetens Cove Intercollegiate match play event and record its highest finish at the Mid American Conference Championship since the 2021 and 2022 season.

He also assisted in the development of two players who posted top three finishes during the 2025 and 2026 campaign, including Bowling Green’s first freshman tournament victory since 2014.

Prior to joining the coaching ranks, Hudak competed for Bowling Green from 2021 through 2025. He finished his career with a 73.8 scoring average, the second lowest mark in program history, and earned three Academic All MAC selections along with three GCAA All America Scholar honors.

Hudak replaces the leadership of a program that last won the Horizon League championship in 2021 and will look to guide the Golden Grizzlies back into conference title contention.
