The Collegiate Women Sports Awards (CWSA) announced the four finalists for the Class of 2026 Honda Sport Award for golf, recognizing Stanford teammates Megha Ganne and Paula Martín Sampedro, Arkansas standout Maria José Marin, and Texas star Farah O’Keefe.
The Honda Sport Award honors the top women athlete in each NCAA sanctioned sport. The golf winner will be selected through voting by administrators from more than 1,000 NCAA member institutions and will advance as a finalist for the 2026 Honda Cup, awarded annually to the Collegiate Woman Athlete of the Year.
Ganne helped Stanford capture the 2026 NCAA Women’s Golf Championship, securing the decisive point in the national title match. The senior finished as NCAA individual runner up and concluded her collegiate career with three victories, 22 top 10 finishes, a 71.01 scoring average, four all conference selections, and three WGCA First Team All America honors.
Martín Sampedro played a key role in Stanford’s ACC and NCAA championship seasons. The junior earned ACC Golfer of the Year honors, won the ACC individual title, and was named a finalist for the ANNIKA Award. She owns Stanford’s career scoring average record at 70.19 while compiling four collegiate victories and 22 top 10 finishes.
Marin continued her standout career at Arkansas by winning the 2026 Augusta National Women’s Amateur with a tournament record 14 under par total. The junior became the first player in Razorbacks and SEC history to claim the title. She also tied for fifth at the NCAA Championship and helped Arkansas reach its first NCAA Championship semifinal while posting a team best 70.0 scoring average.
O’Keefe earned the 2026 ANNIKA Award, WGCA Division I Player of the Year honors, and the NCAA individual championship. The Texas junior collected four victories during the season and recorded top 10 finishes in all 12 collegiate events. She was also named SEC Player of the Year and represented Team USA at the World Amateur Team Championship.
The CWSA is celebrating its 50th anniversary during the 2025-26 season. Since 1986, Honda has contributed more than $3.4 million in institutional grants supporting women’s athletics programs nationwide.
