Stanford’s Megha Ganne Earns 2026 Inkster Award

Stanford senior Megha Ganne was named the recipient of the 2026 Inkster Award presented by Workday, recognizing the highest-ranked Division I women’s golfer in her final season of collegiate eligibility.

The award is named after World Golf Hall of Fame member Juli Inkster, who competed collegiately at San José State before beginning her professional career.

Ganne closed her Stanford career by helping lead the Cardinal to the NCAA Women’s Golf Championship title in May. She clinched the winning point during the championship match and earned her second NCAA team title with the program.

During the 2025 and 2026 seasons, Ganne recorded one victory, four top 10 finishes, and six top 20 finishes. The four-time All-American also entered the summer as the reigning U.S. Women’s Amateur champion.

As part of the award, Ganne received a sponsor exemption into the 2026 Standard Portland Classic at Columbia Edgewater Country Club in Portland, Oregon. Workday will also provide $50,000 to the Juli Inkster Foundation to support Ganne’s transition into professional golf, including travel expenses and a mentorship retreat with Inkster in Northern California.

Ganne is scheduled to turn professional this week and make her professional debut at the U.S. Women’s Open.
