Stanford and Southern California moved into the NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Championship final after semifinal victories Tuesday at Omni La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, California.
Stanford defeated Eastern Michigan 5 to 0, while USC earned a 3 to 2 win over Arkansas to set up an all Pac 12 championship matchup on Wednesday. The Cardinal advanced to the title match for the third consecutive season and will look for their third national championship in the last five years. USC is seeking its first NCAA title since 2013.
Stanford entered match play as the top seed after finishing 22 under during stroke play, while USC claimed the No. 2 seed at 9 under. The two programs were the only teams to finish under par through 72 holes.
Eastern Michigan’s postseason run came to an end after the Eagles advanced to the semifinals in their first NCAA match play appearance in program history. EMU upset Texas in the quarterfinals earlier Tuesday after rallying into the top eight during the final round of stroke play.
For Stanford, Meja Örtengren opened the semifinal with a 4 and 3 win over Erina Tan, while Andrea Revuelta closed with a 2 and 1 victory over Jasmine Leovao after winning the final three holes. Megha Ganne added a 4 and 3 win over Baiyok Sukterm, and Kelly Xu secured a 2 up victory over Savannah de Bock. Paula Martín Sampedro was 1 up through 16 holes against Janae Leovao when the match was halted.

USC controlled most of its semifinal against Arkansas. Jasmine Koo earned a 3 and 2 victory over Reagan Zibilski in the opening match, while Catherine Park added another 3 and 2 win against Abbey Schutte. Elise Lee clinched the deciding point with a 5 and 3 victory over Natalie Blonien after never trailing in the match.
Arkansas received its lone completed win from Augusta National Women’s Amateur champion Maria Jose Marin, who defeated Kylie Chong 4 and 3. Sara Brentcheneff was 1 up through 17 holes against Bailey Shoemaker when play ended.

Stanford swept both Pepperdine and Eastern Michigan during match play, while USC advanced with wins over Duke and Arkansas. Wednesday’s final will feature two of the top teams in women’s college golf competing for the national championship.
