The Black College Golf Coaches Association and Golf Coaches Association of America announced the 2025 to 26 HBCU golf award recipients recognizing top players, freshmen, coaches, and All America selections across Division I and non Division I programs.

Florida A&M golfer Phalatphon Viboonviriyasakul earned Division I HBCU Golfer of the Year honors after also being named to the HBCU All America Team. Howard placed three golfers on the Division I All America Team with Francisco Perez, Mathis Perroni, and honorable mention selection Bear Huff, while Florida A&M’s Sascha Robinson and North Carolina A&T’s Ignacio Zapata also received recognition.

North Carolina A&T golfer Emilio Hernandez was named Division I HBCU Outstanding Freshman and earned All Freshman Team honors alongside Jayden Brar of Chicago State, Jackson Pieratt of Tennessee State, Andreas Roman of Maryland Eastern Shore, Javier Vazquez of Texas Southern, and honorable mention selection JD Berndt of Jackson State. Howard head coach Sam Puryear received Division I Coach of the Year honors.

In the non Division I category, Winston Salem State’s Godfrey Nsubuga and Miles golfer Adrian Raya shared HBCU Co Golfer of the Year honors. The non Division I All America Team also featured Christopher Baguma of Virginia State, Robert Johnson of Kentucky State, Braydon Moye of Miles, and honorable mention pick Alexander Hambleton of Bluefield State.

Bluefield State golfer Freddie Timmis earned non Division I Outstanding Freshman honors and joined the All Freshman Team with Tom Blumire and Michael Wilson of Bluefield State, Samuel Kozisek of Virginia State, Cameron Lutterloh of Winston Salem State, and honorable mention selection Connor Lineberry of Winston Salem State. Winston Salem State head coach Charles Penny II was named non Division I Coach of the Year.
