WGCA Announces 2025-26 Division I Region Coaches of the Year

The Women’s Golf Coaches Association announced the 2025-26 Division I Golf Pride WGCA Region Coaches of the Year on Wednesday. The awards recognize the top coaches across the East, Central, South, and West regions ahead of the NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Championship.

Eastern Michigan head coach Josh Brewer earned East Region honors after leading the Eagles to three tournament victories and eight top three finishes during the season. Eastern Michigan entered the NCAA Championship ranked No. 27 nationally with a 285.6 adjusted scoring average.

Texas A&M’s Gerrod Chadwell received Central Region recognition following a season that included five team victories and nine top three finishes. The Aggies carried a 280.2 adjusted scoring average into the NCAA Championship and were ranked No. 4 nationally.

Florida head coach Emily Glaser was named South Region Coach of the Year after guiding the Gators to six tournament wins, including the SEC Women’s Golf Championship stroke play title. Florida posted a 279.7 adjusted scoring average and entered nationals ranked No. 3.

Stanford head coach Anne Walker claimed West Region honors after leading the Cardinal to seven victories during the 2025 to 26 season, including the ACC Women’s Golf Championship and NCAA Stanford Regional titles. Stanford entered the NCAA Championship ranked No. 1 nationally with a 273.9 adjusted scoring average.

The regional honorees will now be considered for the Division I Jackie Steinmann WGCA National Coach of the Year Award presented by Golf Pride.
