Texas A&M moved into first place after the opening round of the NCAA Bryan Regional at Traditions Club at Texas A&M, carding a 12 under team total Monday.
North Carolina sits second at 10 under, while TCU holds third at 8 under. Texas and Tennessee round out the top five at 7 under and 6 under respectively through 18 holes.
Chattanooga enters the second round in sixth at 2 under, followed by Colorado at 1 under and UNLV at 1 over. UNCW sits ninth at 5 over, while Cincinnati and UTRGV are tied for 10th at 7 over.
Texas A&M’s Wheaton Ennis holds the individual lead after an opening round 6 under performance. North Carolina golfer Carson Bertagnole and Texas standout Luke Potter are tied for second at 5 under.
Tennessee’s Josh Hill, TCU golfer Nathan Miller, and Texas A&M’s Aaron Pounds are tied for fourth at 4 under entering round two.
UTRGV’s Jorge Martin Sampedro, SMU individual William Sides, and Chattanooga golfer Camden Braidech are tied for seventh at 3 under, while North Carolina’s Andrew Riley rounds out the top 10 at 2 under.
