Round two of the Mountain West Women’s Golf Championship is complete at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, with Grand Canyon moving into the team lead and Leia Chung of Boise State holding the top spot individually.
Grand Canyon leads the field at 8 over through 36 holes after rounds of 4 over and 4 over. Nevada sits one shot back at 9 over, followed by UNLV at 10 over. San Jose State is fourth at 13 over, with Wyoming in fifth at 16 over. Colorado State is sixth at 17 over, followed by San Diego State at 22 over. Boise State is eighth at 26 over, Fresno State ninth at 32 over, and New Mexico rounds out the top 10 at 33 over.
In the individual standings, Leia Chung of Boise State leads at 7 under after rounds of 3 under and 4 under. Alexis Vakasiuola of Grand Canyon is second at 5 under, while Kara Kaneshiro of Colorado State sits third at 3 under.
Kiley Reisner of Wyoming and Foong Zi Yu of UNLV are tied for fourth at 1 under. Lana Yamagata of UNLV is sixth at 1 over.
Four players are tied for seventh at 2 over including Lotte Schuhr of San Jose State, Anna Shultse and Gabby Kano of Nevada, and Ema Narita of San Diego State.
