No. 20 New Mexico posted 32 under 820 to win the ASU Thunderbird Invitational at Papago Golf Club in Phoenix, Arizona. The Lobos recorded rounds of 270, 274, and 276 to secure their second win of the season.
No. 9 Arizona State finished second at 28 under 824 with rounds of 268, 282, and 274. Long Beach State placed third at 27 under 825.
Johnnie Clark led the field at 14 under 199 with rounds of 67, 66, and 66. The junior earned his first collegiate title and recorded a career low 54 hole total. Clark also led the field in total birdies.
Alejandro De Castro of Long Beach State and Boston Bracken of Arizona State finished tied for second at 11 under 202. Connor Williams of Arizona State and Ian Maspat of San Diego tied for fourth at 10 under.
New Mexico placed five players inside the top 20. Mesa Falleur finished eighth at 6 under 207. Clark Sonnenberg finished tied for 13th at 4 under 209. Wyatt Provence and Thayer Plewe finished tied for 16th at 3 under 210.
