North Carolina Defends Title at Tar Heel Intercollegiate Behind Donegan

No. 11 North Carolina won the Tar Heel Intercollegiate at UNC Finley Golf Club with a total of 32 under 808, posting rounds of 267, 264, and 277. The result secured a 20 shot margin and marked the program’s second consecutive win at the event.

No. 27 Duke finished second at 12 under 828 with rounds of 277, 273, and 278. North Carolina B placed third at 11 under 829 with rounds of 276, 272, and 281.

Niall Sheils Donegan led the individual competition at 12 under 198 with rounds of 64, 67, and 67. The junior recorded his first win with the program and extended his streak to seven consecutive rounds in the 60s.

Grant Roscich finished second at 10 under 200 with rounds of 68, 61, and 71. His second round 61 matched the program record and set a course record at UNC Finley.

Bryan Kim of Duke placed third at 8 under 202 with rounds of 69, 66, and 67.

North Carolina placed four players inside the top 10. Carson Bertagnole finished seventh at 5 under 205 with rounds of 66, 70, and 69. Sihan Sandhu finished tied for 10th at 3 under 207 with rounds of 69, 68, and 70.

North Carolina led the field in par 4 scoring, par 5 scoring, and total birdies.
