TCU Hosts Charles Schwab Women’s Collegiate Invitational at Colonial with Top Ranked Field

Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth will serve as the site of the Charles Schwab Women’s Collegiate Invitational starting today. Hosted by TCU, the event features a highly ranked field across Division I women’s golf.

Thirteen teams are set to compete, including No. 1 Stanford, No. 3 Texas A and M, No. 5 Auburn, No. 6 Oregon, No. 7 Texas, No. 8 Wake Forest, No. 11 Duke, No. 16 Mississippi State, No. 21 Arizona, No. 24 SMU, No. 29 Oklahoma State, No. 42 TCU, and No. 120 Tulane.

The individual field includes each of the top six players in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Oregon’s Kiara Romero leads the group at No. 1. Texas standout Farah O’Keefe is No. 4, while Stanford places four players inside the top six with Paula Martín Sampedro at No. 2, Andrea Revuelta at No. 3, Meja Örtengren at No. 5, and Megha Ganna at No. 6.

Auburn’s Anna Davis returns as the defending champion after recording a bogey free 64 in the final round last year, setting the course record at Colonial. She enters the week ranked No. 14.

The tournament will be played over 54 holes, with 36 holes scheduled for Monday beginning at 8:30 a.m. via shotgun start. The final round will take place Tuesday morning. A practice round is scheduled for Sunday. The event is free and open to the public.

Fort Worth will also host the 25th anniversary of the Ben Hogan Award presented by Baird later this spring. The ceremony is scheduled for May 25 at the TCU Legends Club inside Amon G. Carter Stadium, where the three finalists will be recognized and the winner will be announced.
