Florida State Defends Title at Seminole Intercollegiate, Eastern Kentucky’s Anders Larson Wins Medalist Honors

The Seminole Intercollegiate, a 54 hole event hosted by Florida State, concluded with Florida State successfully defending its title after posting a three round total of 8 under 856 at Seminole Legacy Golf Club.

Florida State was the only team in the field to finish under par and separated from the field with rounds of 287, 285, and 284. Southern Miss finished second at 11 over, while Stetson placed third at 17 over. Arkansas State followed in fourth at 22 over, with Lipscomb and Penn State tied for fifth at 27 over.

Florida Atlantic and Eastern Kentucky tied for seventh at 29 over, Loyola Maryland finished ninth at 30 over, and Troy rounded out the top ten at 36 over.

In the individual competition, Eastern Kentucky senior Anders Larson earned medalist honors at 7 under. Larson entered the final round five shots back before closing with a 6 under 66 to secure a one shot victory. He led the field in par four scoring at 5 under and tied for the tournament lead with 15 birdies.

Florida State placed three players inside the top ten, led by Tyler Weaver, who finished runner up at 6 under. Southern Miss’s Matthew Javier placed third at 4 under, while Stanley Campbell of Jacksonville State finished fourth at 3 under.

Carson Brewer of Florida State and Supakorn Amornchaichan of Southern Miss tied for fifth at 1 under. Four players tied for seventh at even par, including Florida State’s Wilmer Edero.
