Clemson Alumnus Jacob Bridgeman Secures 50th Worldwide PGA Tour U Victory at 2026 Genesis Invitational

Clemson alumnus Jacob Bridgeman captured his first PGA Tour title at the 2026 Genesis Invitational, delivering the 50th worldwide victory by a PGA Tour University alumnus.

The 26 year old former Tiger entered the final round at Riviera Country Club with a six shot lead after a third round 64 created separation from the field. The cushion tightened late Sunday, but a closing 1 over 72 was enough to finish at 18 under 266 and earn a one shot win over Rory McIlroy and Kurt Kitayama.

Bridgeman did not record a birdie over his final 15 holes. Instead, he relied on disciplined approach play and timely par saves, including a key up and down on the 16th and a short par putt on the 18th to secure the title. The victory earned him $4 million in the signature event hosted by Tiger Woods.

The win also marks a shift in status. Bridgeman began the week ranked No. 52 in the Official World Golf Ranking and is projected to move inside the top 25. After reaching the Tour Championship last season, he had already secured a Masters berth. Riviera validated his steady climb from college standout to PGA Tour winner.

A 2022 Clemson graduate and former ACC Golfer of the Year, Bridgeman now stands as the 50th worldwide winner produced through PGA Tour University’s college pathway.
