Stanford Runs Away With Arizona Thunderbird Intercollegiate Title

Stanford delivered a dominant performance at the Arizona Thunderbird Intercollegiate, capturing the team title by 35 shots at Tucson Country Club.

The top ranked Cardinal finished the 54 hole event at 16 under par 848 and was the only team in the field to post a score under par. Stanford closed the tournament with an 11 under final round to seal the runaway victory.

Baylor finished second at 19 over par, while host Arizona placed third at 20 over par.

Revuelta Earns Individual Title as Stanford Places Six in Top 15

Sophomore Andrea Revuelta claimed medalist honors after holding a five shot lead entering the final round. She closed with a 2 under 70 to finish 11 under par 205, winning by five strokes.

Stanford junior Paula Martín Sampedro finished runner up at 7 under par, while Meja Örtengren placed fourth at 5 under par. Freshman Anna Song tied for fifth at 3 under par, and Kelly Xu rounded out Stanford’s top performers with a 10th place finish at even par.

Stanford placed all six players inside the top 15, further separating itself from the field with depth across the lineup.
