Auburn Dominates Amer Ari Invitational as Jackson Koivun Claims Individual Medalist Honors
Auburn captured the team title at the Mauna Lani Resort Golf on the Kohala Coast in Hawaii, finishing at 77 under par to secure a 13 shot victory over Texas.
The Tigers posted a three round total of 32 under, 15 under, and 30 under to pull away from a loaded field that included seven top 20 programs. Texas finished second at 64 under, followed by Arizona State at 58 under and Texas Tech at 57 under.
Auburn also claimed individual medalist honors as Jackson Koivun earned the title at 25 under par. Koivun opened with back to back rounds of 10 under before closing at 5 under to complete a dominant three round performance.
Cayden Pope made it a one two finish for Auburn, ending the week at 20 under. Arizona State’s Michael Mjaaseth finished third at 19 under, while Texas’ Luke Potter placed fourth at 18 under.
Three players tied for fifth at 17 under, including Washington’s Jacob Goode, Oregon State’s Nguyen Anh Minh, and Texas Tech’s Adam Bresnu. Texas placed two players inside the top 10, as Tommy Morrison and Christiaan Maas both finished tied for eighth at 16 under, alongside Pepperdine’s Mahanth Chirravuri.
