Round three of the 100th South Atlantic Women’s Amateur Championship concluded at Oceanside Country Club in Ormond Beach Florida, with Mia Hammond of Duke and Amelie Zalsman of Wake Forest University sharing the lead heading into the final round.
Hammond carded a one under par 71 in round three to reach fifteen under par 201 through fifty four holes. Zalsman posted the low round of the day among the leaders with a seven under par 64, matching Hammond at the top of the leaderboard.
Kary Hollenbaugh of Ohio State stands alone in third place at twelve under par 204 after a four under par 68 in round three, remaining within three shots of the lead.
Alexandra Gazzoli of Florida State University moved into fourth at five under par 211 following a four under par 68.
Three players are tied for fifth at three under par 213, including Samantha Olson of the University of Tulsa, Mary Miller of Ole Miss, and Katelyn Huber of the University of Florida.
Three players are tied for eighth at two under par 214. That group includes Kaitlyn Schroeder of the University of North Florida, Melanie Walker of the University of Missouri, and Morgan Ketchum of Wake Forest.
With one round remaining, the championship heads into the final day with the lead shared and multiple players within range at Oceanside Country Club.
