Ashcraft Wins Saguaro Amateur at Ak Chin Southern Dunes

The final round of the Saguaro Amateur concluded at Ak Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa Arizona, with Landon Ashcraft capturing the championship title.

Ashcraft, a Texas A and M commit from Scottsdale Arizona, closed with a three under par 69 to finish twelve under par 203 for the tournament. After opening with rounds of 64 and 70, Ashcraft maintained his position near the top of the leaderboard before separating himself in the final round to secure a two shot victory.

Alex Malanga of Sam Houston and Owen Sawyer of Iowa State finished tied for second at ten under par 205. Malanga posted a final round 71, while Sawyer carded a 72 to remain in contention through the closing holes.

Dianchao Wu of Iowa State and Johnnie Clark of New Mexico shared fourth place at nine under par 206. Wu recorded a four under par 67 in the final round, while Clark followed with a 68.

Nilay Naik of Michigan finished sixth at eight under par 207 after closing with a 72. Adam Croix of Utah and Max Thomas of Sacramento State tied for seventh at seven under par 208.

Kristof Panke of Wyoming placed ninth at six under par 209. Parker Paxton of Colorado and Jed Choi rounded out the top ten, tied at five under par 210.

With consistent scoring across the leaderboard and strong play throughout the week, the championship concluded with a competitive finish at Ak Chin Southern Dunes.
