Williams Extends Lead, Chong Takes Control After Round Two at Patriot All America Invitational

Round two of the Patriot All America Invitational concluded Tuesday at The Wigwam Golf Club in Litchfield Park, Arizona. The men continued play on the Gold Course while the women competed on the Blue Course, with both leaderboards beginning to take clearer shape heading into the final round.


Women’s Round Two Recap

Wigwam Blue Course

USC’s Kylie Chong moved into the solo lead after a three under par sixty six in round two. Chong sits at five under par one hundred thirty five through thirty six holes, building momentum after an opening round of sixty nine.

Vanderbilt’s Tillie Claggett dropped one spot to second after a second round seventy, finishing the day at four under par. Arizona’s Nena Wongthanavimok and Kansas’ Amy DeKock are tied for third at three under par after rounds of sixty seven and seventy two, respectively.

A group of four players share fifth at two under par, including Kary Hollenbaugh of Ohio State, Reagan Zibilski of Arkansas, Thanana Kotchasanmanee of Princeton, and Julia Misemer of Arizona.

California State Fullerton’s Kaitlyn Zermeño Smith and Texas’ Angela Heo round out the top ten at one under par.

Arizona State’s Connor Williams strengthened his hold on the lead with a second round four under par sixty six. Williams sits at ten under par one hundred thirty through two rounds, extending his advantage heading into Wednesday.

Florida’s Parker Bell moved into solo second after a five under par sixty five, reaching eight under par for the tournament. Illinois’ Ryan Voois remains steady in third at four under par after posting a second straight sixty eight.

Four players are tied for fourth at two under par, including Brady Siravo of Pepperdine, Baylor Larrabee of UCLA, Dean Muratore of Michigan, and Simon Kwon of BYU.

Matthew Kress of Florida, Trey Marrion of Illinois, and Mahanth Chirravuri of Pepperdine share eighth at one under par.
